Two languages, one steady voice
Beatriz grew up in Lancaster city, translating letters and phone calls for her parents. She still does a version of that job: explaining a court process in plain words, in whichever language a client is most at ease in.
Her work is divorce, custody and support, and the adoptions that make a stepfamily official. She looks for an agreement first, because children do better when their parents settle, and prepares carefully for court when they can’t.
She’s a parent herself, and she schedules meetings around school pickups for clients who are too.
