Lawyer on weekdays, lunch counter on Saturdays

Abram’s family has run a lunch stand for as long as he can remember, and he still takes orders there most Saturdays. It’s where he learned what a bad lease costs a small business.

At the firm he reads agreements of sale, clears up old deeds, and writes the leases and partnership papers that shops, trades and farm stands depend on. He keeps documents short and tells clients which parts to worry about.

On closing day he goes through every page at the table, so nobody signs something they haven’t understood.
